how to make golden milk

I found my new favorite thing… a hot cup of golden milk, also known as a turmeric latte.

I was looking for a way to add more turmeric to my life for all of its healing benefits, especially while I was fighting a nasty infection on my finger (don’t rip off hang nails). Then I came across an article explaining the benefits of golden milk, and while I was a bit skeptical of how it would taste, I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised… it wasn’t bad! I added in some raw honey as a natural sweetener and it went from not bad to really good! I now sip a cup pretty regularly as my “night cap” before bed.

The super ingredient in golden milk is turmeric, which gives it the beautiful color and healing properties.

Sip on a cup of golden milk to help you relax, unwind, and benefit from the amazing healing properties of turmeric.

How to Make Golden Milk (Turmeric Latte):

  • 1 cup milk of your choice (almond, coconut, dairy)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • Pinch of black pepper (this is important because it helps your body absorb the turmeric)
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon raw honey (optional sweetener)

Note: You may want to add in a small amount of coconut oil to this recipe if you are using a fat-free or low-fat type of milk. A small amount of healthy fat will better help you absorb all of the healing benefits.

  • Whisk all ingredients together over medium heat until hot
  • Drink and enjoy immediately

Recipe can be doubled if needed.

Making golden milk at home is so easy to do, and it’s a wonderful wellness treat to have before going to bed.
